I graduated from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (UKZN) and completed my articles of clerkship at the Port Shepstone based Legal Aid office.

​

It was during my time with Legal Aid SA that I realized that litigation in general and family law in particular operated on a flawed basis. Financial issues are the primary cause of divorce, and yet to finalise a divorce is expensive. The primary cost driver is that attorneys charge normal people using the same model as corporate clients, and yet corporate clients already have money set aside for litigation.

As a result I found that many of our clients are emotionally exhausted by the end of their divorce and in financial distress, it was for that reason that we started Simple Law with the idea to bring the various role players to the table and create a model that is more in line with the realities of the average man on the street.

All of the attorneys we work with are registered with the relevant provincial law society and all of our counselors are registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa. You can therefore trust that you are dealing with people who are trained in dispute resolution.
